1. Information We Collect

Squara collects only the information needed to provide the service:

• Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account via Firebase Authentication.
• Expense data: Group names, expense descriptions, amounts, and member information you add to the app. This data is stored in Firebase Firestore.
• Mailing list: If you subscribe to our waitlist, your email address is stored in Resend.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve Squara. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating the service.

3. Data Storage

Expense and account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Firebase infrastructure complies with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other industry standards.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Authentication and database. Privacy policy
• Resend: Email delivery for the mailing list. Privacy policy
• Vercel: Website hosting. Privacy policy

5. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data from within the Squara app at any time. If you need help, email support@squara.app.

6. Children

Squara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email if you're on the mailing list.
